This is the most important destination in Peru, the land of the Incas, where this ancient culture shows impressive historical monuments such as Machu Picchu, Ollantaytambo, Sacsayhuaman and many more.
However, after the Spanish conquest the Inca society was disappearing. Tupac Amaru II a direct descendant of the last Inca led the Andean revolution in 1776; 40 years before the beginning of the campaign for independence. His tragic story is evidenced in the midst of this wonderful natural environment, even with Andean communities as Raqchi where we spend the last night of our adventure in Cusco.
The adventure is completed with the wonderful trip to Titicaca arriving from the Mountain Range heights to Lampa village, passing by Tinajani Stone forest, then going by Sillustani Tombs nearby the small Umayo lagoon, finally getting to the magnificent presence of Lake Titicaca and its islands.
