During centuries this was a nation with many Amazonian ethnics, then the Chachapoyas, Incas and Spanish came, being the first Amazonian region in America with Spanish citizens in. Surrounded by Alto Mayo Mountains, Huallaga River, Blue and Escalera Mountain Ranges, has different ecosystems in a relative short distance and waterfalls surrounded by jungle vegetation.
Finally, gastronomy fans have their delight with its great cuisine, one of the best in the Peruvian jungle.

TARAPOTO/SAUCE Early departure to Sisa village to follow the Mayo river current by bikes taking us to the point of pass of the Huallaga river (by ferry boat) to start the climb to Sauce lagoon. Lunch and lodging. /B/L |

SAUCE/TARAPOTO Departure to the pass that takes us back to Huallaga river end then to Tarapoto city. Hotel. /B/L |

TARAPOTO/LAMAS/SAN ROQUE/TARAPOTO Transfer to Shanao village at 06h00 to start the ride by dirt roads to Lamas continuing by rural paths with climbs and downhills to San Roque del Cumbaza, where we’ll lunch and enjoy its fresh and clear water. Return to Tarapoto biking. Hotel. Transfer to the airport. /B/L |
