In this natural environment we will visit the Cerro Escalera Conservation Area and the Center for Wildlife Rescue, where animal species are kept waiting for their reintroduction into their natural habitats.
In addition this route takes us south of Tarapoto to cross the Rio Huallaga and visit the surroundings of Laguna Sauce, enjoying the peace and relaxation of the contact with nature.

TARAPOTO/CERRO ESCALERA After breakfast, we leave very early toward the Shilcayo River where will visit the Urku Center and meet some wildlife species recovered and their reintegration process. Then we will take a short walk by the Shilcayo River where you can bathe in its waters. Picnic during the hike. For the the most adventurous, longer hike to the Tamishal waterfall. TARAPOTO/SAUCE/TARAPOTO After breakfast, we leave by car to get the detour that takes us on a ferry across the Huallaga River to start the climb to Sauce Lagoon. Lunch. Boat ride and return to Tarapoto in the afternoon stopping on the road back at Paucaryacu thermal baths. Return to the hotel. / B / L |
