Kuelap. Known as the Kuelap Fortress (seventh century AD) covers an area of 450 hectares. From the walls of more than 20 meters high, 3000 meters above sea level in the upper valley of Utcubamba, the panoramic view is unbeatable. In Kuelap you will see terraces, settlements, access control, stores and public squares. It has circular architecture and fine design in their interior homes.
Gocta 771 meters in two falls, is located near the towns of San Pablo and Cocachimba and near Chachapoyas. About Gocta Waterfall are woven a series of stories and legends, like the siren that plagues men in the bed of the stream, reasons why people have avoided to approach the waterfall, keeping the area as virgin forest. |
